About Us

FMW FMW was set up in 1991 as the Worcestershire Family Conciliation Service, later changing its name to Worcestershire Family Mediation. It became Family Mediation Worcestershire upon incorporation as a limited company in 2004. FMW has had a contract with the Legal Services Commission since 1998 which allows it to provide mediation free of charge to clients who are eligible for legal aid. FMW complies with the Community Legal Service ‘Mediation Quality Mark Standard’, against which its services are audited.

FMW is an independent, not-for-profit provider of family mediation services in Worcestershire. It is affiliated to the National Family Mediation and only employs mediators who have satisfied the professional accreditation criteria set by the Family Mediation Council.
